ASCAP Golden Note Award and most recently the Lifetime Achievment Award it is safe to

Now solo, Erica Campbell has been going hard to promote her new album “Help”.
In a recent interview with HipHollywood Campbell talks about the difficulty of being a gospel artist when
churches want to pay you with "chicken dinners as payment".
Some fans feel as though gospel music should be free! But like other entertainers (and working folks)
Campbell and artists like her have to eat and feed their families too! So all of the REAL fans out there,
buy those tickets to the concerts and stop being cheap.
I don’t judge people because they don’t know, I’m just very willing to educate them on what it takes and what is required.”
But she’s confident in her new album as she said
“I put my heart in this album… my heart is on my sleeve.” Please “Help” save this talented artist from chicken dinners. Her album, of the same name as her single, is in stores now!

What would you do if you were a virgin waiting patiently for the husband
God has for you and your first sexual experience leaves you HIV positive?
I recently came across this story on EURWEB about a Kenyan woman (pictured) who
has admitted to sleeping with more than 300 men in revenge for a man she claims raped and
infected her with HIV at a party recently, the Kenyan Daily Post reports.
The woman, who remains anonymous, shared her story through her Facebook page “Kenyan Scandals.”
“I’m 19 and a 2nd year here at Kabarak Uni,” she said. “I joined this college a virgin;
though I’ve had boyfriends before, my parents are strict so having sex was never on my mind.”
But that apparently changed late last year during a visit to a club.
“Sep 22nd 2013 is a day I’ll never forget.”
“We went clubbing in town and got drunk with some senior students then
went back [to] hostels for party round 2,” she continued.
But she woke up naked the next day to a man named Javan.
Though Javan responded that they’d used a condom for intercourse, when she
asked him, the woman soon noticed sperm near her vaginal area while taking a bath.
I wanted to commit suicide, she shared. I feared getting pregnant [and] HIV, took
contras [and] hoped I was HIV-free. Unfortunately, that was not the case: In November
I tested HIV [positive]. I felt like cutting off my neck.
She confronted Javan who claimed he was HIV-negative.
I was so depressed and took alcohol to die, I even bought poison, the pain was just
unbearable; how was I [going to] face the world? I let my parents down, I gave up
on the world and just wanted to end my life. My future had been ruined, somehow
someone had to pay.
She reportedly began exacting revenge by sleeping with as many men as possible.
To date, she claims, she has slept with 324 men.
“Not a day passes without me having sex, mostly 4 people per day,” she stated.
“Nothing will stop me from accomplishing my mission by continuing to sleep around,
you never know but maybe you have slept with me or your husband, boyfriend, brother, father or any has slept with me.”
The woman’s eventual plan is to infect 2,000 men with the virus before year’s end, according to XNaija.
One commenter on the Kenyan Daily Post says he has slept with the woman:
OMG! I know this lady! the commenter typed. I’ve done it with her more than
thrice since Jan this year! Lady, you didn’t have to do this to me. Revenging on
the wrong people is unfair. I’m confused.
Please keep this young lady in your prayers. This tragedy has caused her to not
be stable and she needs psychological help. I hope that this post is read by a
clinical psychologist that can truly help her recover and get her back to where God
wants her to be.
CHICAGO (CBS) – New video posted on YouTube shows the moment a CTA Blue
Line train jumped the tracks and slammed into an escalator at O’Hare International Airport.
The video, which appears to be from a surveillance camera at O’Hare, shows a CTA worker
and a passenger talking at the top of the escalator as the train is pulling into the station. As
the train derails and the head car crashes into the escalator, ending up just shy of the turnstiles,
both men run out of view of the camera. A few videos have been removed from YouTube but here
is one that shows the incident a minute before the crash
The female driver of the train said she was suffering from fatigue when the crash occurred.
The NTSB has said it is reviewing footage from 41 cameras inside the station, as well as
more cameras on board the train. The damaged train was still sitting atop the escalator
Wednesday morning as the National Transportation Safety Board continued its investigation.
A six-man team has been sifting through the wreckage for evidence, and has been removing
cameras and event recorders from the train to figure out exactly what went wrong. NTSB lead
investigator Ted Turpin has said an automatic stopping system on the train activated as it was
pulling into the station at 25 mph around 2:50 a.m.
Monday, applying the train’s brakes, but that didn’t stop it from smashing through a bumper post,
and barreling up the escalator. More than 30 people, including the train operator, were injured in the crash.
Sources said the operator has signed a statement admitting she dozed off just before the crash, but NTSB investigators have
not said if she took her hands off the controls, which would have automatically stopped the train.
NTSB investigators interviewed that woman Tuesday afternoon.
At least three passengers who were on the train have filed lawsuits accusing the CTA of negligence,
and seeking damages for their hospital bills. All three women were on their way to their respective jobs at the airport, and
suffered various injuries when the train crashed. “We filed a lawsuit to ensure that all evidence
is protected and preserved so that a full and complete investigation can be done as to why this
happened at O’Hare,” said attorney Matthew Jenkins. CTA and NTSB officials have said the
station will remain closed until investigators give the CTA permission to remove the train from
the scene. Officials have not said if that process would begin on Wednesday, and neither
CTA nor NTSB officials would speculate how long it would take to get the train out of the station.
The CTA has said crews must cut apart the lead car of the train to get it off the escalator, and
it appeared crews were using acetylene torches on the train early Wednesday. The CTA has
been running bus shuttles between the Rosemont stop and O’Hare so passengers can get to
and from the airport.
Malfunction At BP Refinery Causes Oil Spill On Lake Michigan WHITING, Ind. (CBS) – Crude oil spilled onto the shore of Lake Michigan in Whiting, Ind.,
following an accident Monday afternoon at the BP refinery. The EPA responded last night
and found an area of about 5,000 square feet covered in crude oil. “A disruption in the refining
process resulted in a crude oil discharge from the BP Whiting Refinery’s cooling water outfall
into Lake Michigan at approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday,” BP spokesman Scott Dean said in an
email. Cleanup was underway on Tuesday, and BP said the oil was contained to a cove located
between the refinery’s waste water treatment plant, and a steel mill. Vacuum trucks were on hand
to assist in the cleanup.
Most of the oil was along the beach and not in the water. The wind has
helped the clean-up crews because it’s pushed the oil into one section of the cove and the
unseasonably cold weather is welcome, too. “The cold weather has actually made the oil
almost congeal to what was described to be as a waxy substance and you see the crews
picking it up with flat shovels and putting it into trash bags and where it will then be properly
disposed of,” said Dean.
BP says it doesn’t yet know how much oil was spilled, nor do they
know the environmental impact, but Rebeccah Sanders of the Audubon Society is concerned
about birds that will come there. “Just north of us is important bird area for migratory birds
and inland is Wolf Lake also an important area.
Lots of bird activity and we want to make sure everyone is safe,” said Sanders.
Late Tuesday afternoon, the EPA said the cleanup is just about finished and it
appears there is no threat to people or wildlife. Crews from BP, the U.S. Coast Guard,
the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Indiana Department of Environmental
Management were taking part in the cleanup and investigation.
No injuries were reported.

Here is a recap just in case you missed it.
This weekend God decided to sneak into the box offices yet again in the
new movie "God Is Not Dead". The had some great moments and brings up a relevant question:
if your faith was tested by law and threaten for punishment would you still believe it?
The movie stars a present-day college freshman and devout Christian, Josh Wheaton, finds his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson. Radisson begins class by informing students that they will need to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on that first day, or face a failing grade. As other students in the class begin scribbling the words "God Is Dead" on pieces of paper as instructed, Josh find himself at a crossroads, having to choose between his faith and his future. Josh offers a nervous refusal, provoking an irate reaction from his smug professor.
Radisson assigns him a daunting task: if Josh will not admit that "God Is Dead," he must prove God's existence by presenting well-researched, intellectual arguments and evidence over the course of the semester, and engage Radisson in a head-to-head debate in front of the class. If Josh fails to convince his classmates of God's existence, he will fail the course and hinder his lofty academic goals. With almost no one in his corner, Josh wonders if he can really fight for what he believes. Can he actually prove the existence of God?
The film, which opened on just 780 screens nationwide, took in more than $2.8 million Friday. It's likely to be the No. 3 movie for the weekend, behind the bigger-budget, wider-released "Divergent" and "Muppets Most Wanted."
Released through Freestyle Releasing, the drama from the Christian movie studio Pure Flix Entertainment and the Red Entertainment Group was heavily marketed in churches, on the film's website and other Christian websites, as well as social media.
If you had to put a number on how happy you are right now
what with that number be with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest?
Well today is not only the first day of spring but also International Happiness Day.
In 2012, the United Nations (UN) declared March 20 to be observed as the International Day of Happiness. Aim The day recognizes that happiness is a fundamental human goal, and calls upon countries to approach public policies in ways that improve the well being of all peoples. By designating a special day for happiness, the UN aims to focus world attention on the idea that economic growth must be inclusive, equitable, and balanced, such that it promotes sustainable development, and alleviates poverty. Additionally the UN acknowledges that in order to attain global happiness, economic development must be accompanied by social and environmental well being. Background The initiative to declare a day of happiness came from Bhutan – a country whose citizens are considered to be some of the happiest people in the world. The Himalayan Kingdom has championed an alternative measure of national and societal prosperity, called the Gross National Happiness Index (GNH). The GNH rejects the sole use of economic and material wealth as an indicator of development, and instead adopts a more holistic outlook, where spiritual well being of citizens and communities is given as much importance as their material well being.

From Pharrell William’s song “Happy” at the top of the Billboard chart, to Ellen’s “I am Happy” hoodie, worn backstage at the Oscars, happiness is in the news. Thursday, March 20 is the second official U.N. sanctioned International Day of Happiness, andpeople all around the globe are taking the opportunity to focus on happiness. From Nigeria to Mexico, from Australia to the U.K., just to name a few… individuals, families and communities are jumping on board in ways that can be really simple and surprisingly fun. How are you celebrating?
Why Is Happiness Important?
For those people who may have a bias against the word happiness, the version we’re talking about does not have to do with seeing life through rose-colored glasses, or escaping into pleasurable pursuits at the expense of creating a meaningful life. With the alarming worldwide rise in anxiety and depression, developing the skills for emotional resilience is more important than ever.
As the stresses of society approach critical mass, and conversations like The Third Metric gain momentum, even entire countries are adopting measures for well-beingand gross national happiness. Join the global movement to expand the happiness in your life and in the lives of those around you. Here are three easy ways to start:
1. Be inspired by the song “Happy:”
Post a youtube video of yourself demonstrating your happiness to Pharrell’s Happy track with the hashtag #HAPPYDAY and submit it to 24 hours of happiness. On International Day of Happiness, the best submissions will be spotlighted.
2. Take the pledge:
At Project Happiness, we teach students across the world the Science of Happiness so that they can learn the skills to generate happiness from the inside. Sharing happiness spreads it, and people have more influence than they know. This is a conversation that crosses all borders. Join us in the pledge:
“Happiness is contagious. I pledge to proJECT happiness forward.”
Even a smile can change someone’s whole day. The movement is clearly growing. In just a few years, what started as a film to help my own daughter, has expanded to educational programs in over 80 countries.
3. Share a happy moment:
Help celebrate International #happinessday: Share a photo of something that makes you happy, using #happinessday. We are partnering with Action for Happiness along with 40 other organizations to share a more authentic view of what happiness is all about.
These are just a few ideas: celebration, like happiness has many forms. This International Day of Happiness, make the choice for happiness now. While you’re at it, why not extend it even longer? What we focus on grows. By acknowledging the little things that we are grateful for, the moments that are memorable, and the good that is all around, everyday can present a new opportunity to experience enhanced well-being, connection and happiness. We can all proJECT happiness forward — it’s easy. This is an invitation to rediscover something that can be a game-changer — you have everything you need inside of you.
On International Day of Happiness or any day, what do you lean into: a happy song, connection with friends or family, being in nature — this list goes on! What ignites your happiness and how do you spread it?
It is not like we haven't heard this story before.
We hear or see numerous reports of how a girl's "boyfriend" leaves the child somewhere,
throws them out the window or even rapes the children. So it is not like these young mothers are ignorant
to how they should or should not care for their child.
So why do these mothers continue to bring new men around their children; especialy
if they are only dating and have no plans or hopes to marry????
Majority of the time the story goes, the young mom has a new boyfriend and the
boyfriend doesn't want to be bothered with "another man's child". So they find a way to get rid of the problem.
The most recent story in Chicago about the one year old Ameriah Roberson really has my heart broken.
If you haven't heard about it, here is the full story on Ameriah Roberson according to ABC News.
The body of a young girl found in Riverdale is that of Amierah Roberson, 1, who was reported missing from a South Side home, according to the medical examiner. Amierah's body was found in a wooded area in south suburban Riverdale near 140th Court and Normal. The Calumet City girl was reported missing from a home near 35th and Rhodes on the city's South Side on Sunday afternoon.
When Amierah was reported missing, police were initially told that the boyfriend of Amierah's mother had left the child unattended for a moment, and when he returned she was gone. Police never issued a missing child report and have been questioning the mother and boyfriend since Sunday evening.
Amierah was just 19 months old, a happy, loving, joyful child. That her life would end in violence is stunning to loved ones.
"I'm still trying to absorb it all. I know it's true, but again I'm still in awe and disbelief," said Bernadette Madison, child's grandmother.
Madison says she received a frantic call from her daughter, Amierah's mother, Sunday evening shortly before 6 p.m. Amierah had gone missing, Madison was told, after being in the care of her daughter's boyfriend at his residence in the city's Bronzeville neighborhood while her daughter was at work.
"They had arranged to meet downstairs in front of the building, but the other party was there. My daughter showed up there. No Amierah," said Bernadette Madison.
"There was a lot of investigating going on as far as the police checking every outgoing and incoming car," said Norrice Hogans, Bronzeville resident.
At least two hours before Amierah was reported missing, the body of a young girl was found in this wooded area in Riverdale.
On Monday, the medical examiner confirmed it was Amierah. She'd been assaulted and suffered head injuries. The death was ruled a homicide.
"She was a sweetheart. She was a joy to be around. She was an angel," said Deborah Madison, child's great grandmother.
"I'm going to miss her smile. I'm going to miss, we danced all the time. We played. I was her BFF," said Bernadette Madison.
On Monday night, police were questioning Amierah's mother and her boyfriend as Amierah's grandmother and others struggle to make sense of her death.
"We will have to deal with this in time. Hopefully each day will make it easier to deal with," said Bernadette Madison.
No charges have been filed at this time. Relatives of the child's mother have been coming here to Area Central police throughout the day but have not been able to speak with their family member.
Remember when you were younger and your church had testimony service?
People old and young would come to the pulpit and open their heart with long tales
of how God "saved them from their sins" and ask the congregation for their forgiveness?
But it all honesty, is confessing your sins to the congregation really necessary?
The bible tells us
1 John 1:9 ESV: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Another scripture says:
James 5:16 ESV Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
What about this powerful word:
Proverbs 28:13 ESV Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
Well for one minister, being transperent in the name of righteous deemed to be TOO much.
In Connecticut, Bishop Bobby Davis admitted to his church about an affair he had
then drops dead of an apparent heart attack. Davis, pastor and founder of the Miracle
Faith World Outreach Church in Bridgeport, had a lot on his mind on Sunday and wanted
to come clean about it before the church’s congregation. The Connecticut Post reports
that police are investigating the incident, indications are that he suffered a fatal heart
attack after getting a mixed response. “After the service on Sunday, the bishop’s family
asked us to remain in the church and the bishop confessed to us something that
happened long ago,” parishioner Judy Stovall told the newspaper about Davis.
“He wanted to come clean with all of us. He wanted to ask our forgiveness.”
Hubba hubba! I think I found my new husband.
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell revealed on Thursday a decades-old “selfie” to
Facebook thinking he could one-up comedian Ellen DeGeneres, whose celeb-filled selfie
from the Oscars earlier this month broke Twitter.
Powell, who is now 76 years old, wrote,
Throwback Thursday – I was doing selfies 60 years before you Facebook folks. Eat your heart out Ellen!
Organizers of a DNA test confirmed Thursday that the test proved the late music legend is
Howard’s biological father.
The 31-year-old man, named Brandon Howard, is the son of R&B singer Miki Howard.
Sources close to Brandon revealed that the Miami resident was born soon after Miki,
who was represented by Joe Jackson in the ‘80’s, met Michael.
Brandon, who grew up in Cleveland, is now a singer who is part of a new Akon song.
He goes by the name B Howard.
Brandon’s claims regarding Michael stem from DNA comes after he acquired from
an old orthodontic device worn by the late King of Pop. Although it’s unclear how Brandon got the machine,
he states that test results from the device show a match.
However, TMZ is reporting they believe the test is a sham.
But first, here’s what the NY Daily News is reporting :
The results of the test were revealed by Dr. Joseph Goodman, a Beverly Hills dental surgeon who claimed he obtained a sample of Jackson’s DNA from a dental device that belonged to the vocalist and was purchased by Goodman at auction.
Howard, who is said to be the child referenced in Jackson’s classic 1982 hit “Billie Jean”
with the line ‘The kid is not my son,” wasn’t present for the big reveal but confirmed in a Facebook
post that he gave a DNA sample for the test.
The test, as mentioned by the Daily News, indicated that the “probability” of Jackson
being a parental match was “99.9 percent.” The findings were announced at a press
conference in Beverly Hills that was organized by shipping heir Alki David and streamed live
on his website, FilmOn.com.
“I think we have the proof,” Goodman declared as David listened a few feet away.
Although the alleged paperwork was shown to some attendees at the press conference,
it didn’t list the names of the test subjects nor did it name the lab that performed the analysis.
David acknowledged the omissions as he mentioned that such tests are typically done anonymously
and that other information was redacted as a security safeguard.
“I’m sure that there will be doubters and there will be haters and there will be those who
create, build a controversy, but it is what it is,” said Howard.
While David, Howard and Goodman stand by the results, Jackson estate
lawyer Howard Weitzman was not sold.
“It sounds like a fraud to me,” Weitzman told the Daily News Thursday as noted Howard’s
overall relevance in relation to Jackson. “I’ve never heard of the man. He’s never made any
claims with the estate or with any recognized tribunal that I’m aware of.”
Although he admitted that Jackson is a big inspiration for his work, Howard claimed he had nothing to do with David’s press conference.
“I’ve never self-proclaimed to be Michael Jackson’s son,” he said Thursday in a Facebook video.
“I’m definitely not suing the estate. I’m taken care of very well. And also, I make my own cash, okay?”
For more on the DNA test involving Michael Jackson and Brandon Howard, check out the NY Daily News.
OK, now that we got that out of the way, here’s the claim from TMZ:
As we reported, FilmOn.com‘s Alki Davidput on a spectacle Thursday — claiming he had DNA results proving singer B Howard was the biological son of the King of Pop. He then produced the results showing a “99.99999%” probability that MJ was Brandon’s dad.
TMZ obtained a photo of the DNA doc — allegedly from a testing facility in Ireland called “DNA Lab.” We searched high and low, but could find no such generic DNA lab in Ireland.
Skeptical, we investigated — a simple Google image search of “DNA results” turns up a bunch of sample docs with the same exact easily-stealable format as the one we got.
Today's Women's History Month spotlight goes to the White House's newly appointed Claudia Gordon.
Miss Gordon will oversee its efforts on disability issueswhich suits her well.
Gordon is legally deaf and is also a Jamaican immigrant.

The discrimination Gordon experienced as a deaf child in Jamaica compelled
her to become a lawyer. Her family moved to the Unted States when she was
a child and she later attended New York's Lexington School for the Deaf where
she learned sign language and later became the first deaf student to graduate
from the American University's Washington College of Law.

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent in the Western Christian calendar, directly
following Shrove Tuesday. Occurring 46 days before Easter, it is a moveable feast
that can fall as early as February 4 and as late as March 10. According to the canonical
gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, Jesus Christ spent 40 days fasting in the desert,
where he endured temptation by Satan. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of this
40-day liturgical period of prayer and fasting or abstinence. Of the 46 days until Easter,
six are Sundays. As the Christian designation of Sabbath, Sundays are not included
in the fasting period and are instead "feast" days during Lent.
Ash Wednesday derives its name from the practice of placing ashes (formally called
The Imposition of Ashes) on the foreheads of adherents as a celebration and reminder
of human mortality, and as a sign of mourning and repentance to God. The ashes
used are typically gathered from the burning of the palms from the previous year's

Kenyan pastor Rev. Njohi has raised not only a few eyebrows but red flags with his unorthodox suggestion of having his female congregants remove their bras and underwear before coming to church, so that Christ can freely enter their bodies with his spirit, according to The Kenyan Daily Post.
Njohi, who is the pastor of the Lord’s Propeller Redemption Church in Kenya, reportedly refers to undergarments as “ungodly.” The bible-toting minister called together a meeting with church officials and allegedly discussed banning the under garments because people “need to be free in body and spirit in order to receive Christ.”
After warning his female congregants about the evils of skivvies, the God-fearing pastor spoke of the damnation they will suffer if they dare not to go bare underneath.
In true fashion, the church’s female population reportedly did come to church sans their undies, the Post reports, in order to prepare for their spiritual taking.
This SICK Pastor probably wanted to lay hands on these unsuspecting women folk!
What do we do as a people of God when our leaders
Are being inappropriate in the name of God? How do we address them
about committing a sin when he is the head of the church? Should it be addressed to the entire
congregation or settled privately with just the elders and the board of trustees?
What are your thoughts? SOURCE
