QOD: Should youth of the popular 'FIRE CHALLENGE' be charged as a crime?
Facebook Krishon Hammonds
If you have any type of social media page like a Facebook
or Instagram I am sure you have seen the stupidity of
the resent game the 'Fire Challenge'. If you haven't the challenge consist of a person
who place rubbing alcohol on their bodies then light themselves on fire.

However a recent case didn't end so well for a 15 year old boy by the name of James Shores
who died due to the burns from the fire.
Below is an example of the 'Fire Challenge'
(WARNING: Graphic video- *This is not the male who died*)

So my question is should these teens who are involved in this game be
charged as a crime? Although he gave his friends consent the boy is not dead
from this game? It needs to be stopped and I think the only way this game will
end is if someone is made an example of. What are your thoughts?

QOD: Should Stephan A. Smith Should Have Been Suspended for Comments?
Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for Paley Center for Media
Last Thursday, Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was suspended for two games by the NFL
following an offseason arrest. In May, Rice entered a pre-trial diversion program to avoid a trial and jail
time for an altercation with his wife (at the time, she was his fiancé). The penalty was met with universal
eye rolls and general outrage from NFL fans and non-fans alike. At best, Rice showed some horrible
decision-making the night he dragged an unconscious Janay Rice out of an elevator.
At worst, Rice is a wife-beater. ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith didn’t show the same type of outrage that most did.

On ESPN’s First Take, Smith admonished men who hit women but also said that women
should not “provoke” men into hitting them:

Here is the original footage of the Ray Rice domestic violence incident that was released
via TMZ

Here is Smith's apology after complaints about his remarks. Here is the ESPN apology Smith did:

So my question is, should Smith have apologized? Should have been suspended? What are your thoughts?

Gospel Rappers Flame and Lecrae suing Katy Perry?

What's done in the dark shall come to light. At least in Pop singer Katy Perry's case.
It is being reported that Gospel Rappers Flame andGrammy award winning Gospel rapper Lecrae
are accusing Perry of using the tune of their track “Joyful Noise” for her number one Billboard hit “Dark Horse.”

According to Christian Today, the Christian rap single “Joyful Noise” was written in 2007, five years before Perry’s song.
It featured Christian rappers Lecrae, Emanuel Lambert and Chike Ojukwu and was nominated for Best Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song of the Year award from the Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.

“Our World: Redeemed,” Flame’s album which featured “Joyful Noise” was nominated for a Grammy in 2008.
“Specifically, defendants’ unauthorized reproduction, distribution, and public performance of
plaintiffs’ musical composition constitute infringement of plaintiffs’ exclusive rights in their copyright.”

The  rappers also intend to sue for damages. According to the rappers, Perry’s use of the tune not only plagiarized their work,
it also impacted their Christian image.

Flame reportedly brought about the lawsuit after a blog post on SoundsJustLike.com compared “Joyful Noise” with “Dark Horse.”

The artists declare in their lawsuit:
“The devoutly religious message of “Joyful Noise” has been irreparably tarnished by its association with the witchcraft, paganism, black magic, and Illuminati imagery evoked by the same music in Dark Horse.”

Now some listener have responding saying that both artist are not original because the beat
is also similar the the group Art of Noise jazz hit 'Moments in Love'. With
so many artist sampling now, its hard to really tell whose original.

Take a listen below.

What are your thoughts?
